Two New Items!

So these two items I'm about to post on here weren't actually going to be for sale. They were just something I made for me and my family, but I liked them so much I figured you might, too! The first is a 8"x28" stocking board. I've been seeing these around a lot this Christmas season and I wanted one for my house. It turned out so cute, I've decided to offer it on the blog!

The price for this project is $20.00 and includes the painted board, white vinyl lettering, and the nails. I only have four nails on mine but there is plenty of space to add more. I do not recommend that you hang filled stockings on this board. Santa usually puts the stockings under the tree on Christmas morning ;).

My family and I are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We absolutely love the Church but my two-year-old son usually gets pretty bored having to sit through some of the meeting. He was getting pretty bored with the same old books week after week so I decided to put something together for him. That's where the Fun Box came in! Believe me, this thing has been a lifesaver! The box is pretty cool and is completely hand-painted by yours truly. The top cover is a chalkboard and on the inside is a tic-tac-toe game. Because there is plenty of space inside of the box, I usually put in some coloring things and a little treat for him to enjoy. The only thing I have changed is the marble magnets. I've decided maybe they aren't too safe for little ones and have just covered the mangets with paper to match the box.

The price for this project is $15.00 and includes the box (you choose the colors), chalkboard, magnetic tic-tac-toe, and customized vinyl.

DATE CHANGES

Hello everyone!

In a previous post I said I would be taking orders until the 17th of December. It turns out that is the day I am leaving for the holidays so I won't be able to do that! LOL! I will therefore be taking orders until 5:00 p.m. MST the 15th of December. I hope that doesn't throw anyone's plans off!

I am excited to announce that over the break I will be trying to update the site with more pages and more projects. I really want to make it easy to navigate and see exactly what you are looking for. If you have any suggestions at all, please comment below this post as your input is very helpful to me.

Thank you all for your patronage and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Two new items!

I know that I am totally supposed to be away for Thanksgiving vacation, but I just can't help post a few more things on here! LOL! I actually have one more thing that I am working on besides today's post that I want to put up before Cyber Monday.* Back to today's post:

The first item I have is an 8x10 frame that says: Believe in the magic!

I absolutely love the lighter green frame!

It is so festive and fun! Like I said above, this is on an 8x10 backless frame that features a red Believe with yellow star replacing the i-dot and an "in the magic" overlay in green. I finished it off with a red ribbon tied in a bow!

Project Price: $6.00

The second project is actually a set of 4 snowflake magnets. This is another really inexpenisve gift you can hand out to students, visiting/home teaching families, neighborhood friends, mail carrier, etc.

(Sorry about the poor picture quality! These were taken on my cell phone since my DH accidentally broke my digital camera!)

These snowflake magnets measure a little less than 1 sq. in. and come in a set. The backgrounds are all different shades of blue. The thing I like about these is that they would be a great addition to display on your fridge until springtime! If you live in Logan, UT, that means until May! LOL!

There are a few options with these. You can order just the magnets or you can order them in packaging with a quote about snowflakes (both religious and non-religious quotes available) on a decorative tag. I haven't gotten around to taking a picture of them in packages yet, but I will get to that as soon as possible!

Project Price:
Magnets only- $1.00 set of four
Packaged set- $2.00 (includes 4 magnets, cellophane bag, ribbon, and tag with snowflake message)

*Cyber Monday specials will arrive in your e-mail! Keep your eyes on your inbox! If you would like to receive the specials e-mail, please leave a comment under this post and I will add you to the mailing list. similarly, if you would like to stop receiving emails (I only send out like two a year...) please email me directly at vinyltalksbychristie@gmail.com

Nativity Vinyl

It is that time of year again! Time to start planning for Christmas! One of my family's favorite traditions is setting out our nativities. We have about two or three! There is just something so special about recalling our Savior's birth at this time of year. My favorite is seeing glass blocks that have been etched with a nativity scene and then lit up with sparkling lights. It brings such a reverence to a home.
Here you will find some choices for your own masterpiece nativities. To order your custom scence or characters, simply email me the codes you see next to the graphic you would like to purchase. From there, we will discuss layout, colors, sizes, etc.
Project Price: $7.00 per sq. ft.
Large order quantity discounts will be given.

Holiday Hours

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to let you know the Holiday schedule so you would be able to get orders in on time, etc.

I will be working on vinyl orders, emails, calls, etc. from 8a,m. to 5p.m. (sometimes I cheat but these are the published hours) Monday through Friday.

I will be closing for Thanksgiving on Friday, November 19, 2010 and will re-open Monday, November 29, 2010 for Cyber Monday.

December is a little sketchy still but I think we're looking at taking orders until Friday, December 17. I won't re-open until the New Year (January 3, 2011).

Also, please be aware that I am expecting my second child on January 15, 2011 so I will probably just do what I can around then.

Thank you so much for your business and support. I absolutely love doing vinyl and helping to beautify your homes. Let me know if you need anything!

Thanks,
Christie

Jar Luminaries

Here is the first of what I hope to be many inexpensive holiday gifts to give neighbors, visting/home teaching families, etc.

These jar luminaries are perfect for a spiritual gift that can be displayed year-round (and don't add inches to the waist! ;)). They feature glass marbles at the bottom to help relfect light and a beautiful flower resting on top to add color. The jar is finished off with a vinyl cut-out of the Salt Lake Temple and the caption "I love to see the Temple." The jar does contain a battery-operated tea light that can be turned on and off.

Project Price: $5.00

For those of you outside of Logan, UT, I can ship these but please be aware that shipping cost will be greater because insurance and careful packaging will need to be employed to ensure your order arrives safely. You may choose to get a kit and put them together if you wish. The kit will include glass marbles, tea light, flower, and vinyl decal. The kit cost is $3.00.

May I also suggest, glass etching the jar. It would yield a beautiful result!

Four Month Stackers!

I absolutely love decorations that I can keep up for months at a time. It saves me worrying about what other decor I can find and it is cheaper to buy one item than multiple items. That is why I decided to make a stacker. This stacker features three long blocks measuring 8", 10", and 12" and has four months highlighted to simplify decorating. It has Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Winter sides. This seasonal projects will be continued throughout the year. Sometimes in January, I'll release the stacker for February, March, April, and May. In May, the stacker for June, July, August, and September will be released. So, if you buy three projects, you're covered for the whole year! Excellent, right?
An optional block features a crow on one side and a snowman on the other side. I think it adds such a fun, cute way to decorate!

I tied a coordinating ribbon around my stacker so you wouldn't see the other month's vinyl, but it really isn't necessary.

The project price includes the completed stacker (wood, paper, vinyl). Please note that the paper may change from what is pictured above.

Project Price: $15.00 (does not include shipping)
Optional Crow/Snowman: $3.00 (includes all accessories pictured-scarf, nose, metal eyes, etc.)

Super Saturday Items!

I promised you I would post items for Super Saturdays and I'm keeping my word!

First of all we have adorable countdown blocks for Halloween and Christmas! These blocks measure 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and sit on a 2"x10" base with a title on it! For Super Saturdays you can order just the vinyl or the entire project (minus scrapbook paper, if you wish).

The price for the entire project is $11.00 per set

The price for vinyl only is $4.00

I am just in love with the set I designed for myself, so I know you would love them too!

Because of the amount of work that needs to go into preparing all of the wood for this project, I need a FINAL count two weeks before your event date. Thanks for understanding!

Here's a different choice for a Christmas countdown:

This countdown is made on a cookie sheet! I just love it! It's whimsical and fun and really makes me wish Christmas was around the corner! Haha!
For this project, I can only provide the vinyl and magnet. Things would get pretty complicated very quickly due to different pan sizes, etc.

If you order this project, make sure you purchase
cookie sheets made of STEEL, not aluminum.
Your magnets won't work on aluminum.
It's too bad because it's definitely cheaper ;).

Vinyl for this project costs $5.00

Ok, next on the list:

Candy Jars! I made this one for Halloween (sorry about the picture, it was about 10 p.m. when I took it!). It says Trick or Treat in a really fun font and is filled with gummy worms and chocolate covered raisins (for dirt...yeah, I know). The top of the jar has three candy corns in orange vinyl. This is a super inexpesive and quick way to get lots of projects done! I will charge $1.00 per saying in vinyl (black, orange, neon green, purple, or yellow) and that way the creative license is left up to you! You could even do some for Halloween and Christmas! Just let me know what saying you would like me to design, approve it, buy some cute jars (mine is a Dollar Tree find!) and have a blast putting them together! Isn't it nice that you could make this project for $2????

Finally (for tonight anyway!):
This is a cuteness door hanger that I just love!!! I didn't think that it would turn out as cute as it did, but now I just love it! The colors are just perfect because they aren't too Halloween-y, if you know what I mean.
When I came up with this, I decided I wanted to make an inexpensive project for the home that was fun but still kinda classy. I think if meets all three criterion, don't you?
Total cost for this project (5x7 frame, orange paper, vinyl) is $5.00

Vinyl only is $2.00

Ok, so that's it for now! Don't worry, I have tons more ideas for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! Still to come:
  • Chargers
  • Tiles
  • Plaques
  • Signs
  • Stackers

So stay tuned!

If you need to order something, please email me at vinyltalksbychristie@gmail.com! I look forward to hearing from you!

Super Saturdays!

Hello everyone!

Just something to start thinking about: Super Saturdays! I know we have about a month before they start to really get going, but it's nice to start thinking so you aren't rushing to find projects!

Over the course of this month, I will be posting many projects available to purchase in bulk so you can take care of those!

Here is how this will work:

1. If you decide you want to purchase a product for your Super Saturday, we will work out the details over email and phone.
2. Once you have chosen your products, I will send you an example to put up at your display tables. If you end up not doing the project, you just owe for the sample. If you do end up ordering, the sample is free!
3. You can purchase just the vinyl or you can purchase all the materials to assemble yourself. This is easier for some people because they have access to a variety of resources that may cut down on cost...especially shipping.
4. Shipping will be done through USPS with their Flat Rate Shipping. This will save a ton of time in figuring out shipping costs and you can decide what to charge your group more easily.
5. Finally, for every nine products purchased, you will receive the tenth at no cost! This is my way of saying thank you! You can mix and match any of the products to make up your nine, but the free one will be of equal or lesser value...darn economy! ;)

Ok, I can't wait to post some of the ideas that I have for you!!!! It is going to be so fun and will reflect the feelings of the coming months! Good luck with all of your planning!

Summer...a little late

So if your weather has been as crazy as the weather here in Logan, Utah, it's finally summer! To celebrate, I came up with this little number that I just love. Believe it or not, my husband actually helped design it! Who says men can't craft?

So this little wooden plaque is 8.5x9" and features bright blue paint with sanded edges. The title is "Summer" followed by all of the necessary requirements of the season:
Flip-flops: check!
Swimsuit: check!
Sunshine: check!
Also included in your purchase are graphics that follow the written words. It features adorable flip-flops, a boy diving into fun, and a swirly-centered sun!
So, same as always.... If you're interested email me or leave me a comment!
Hope you are having an absolutely wonderful summer!
Project Price: $9.00

Nursery Plaques

Here is another creation I've come up with in the past few weeks:

I am absolutely in love with these wooden 12x12 boards! The board features either a boy/girl initial with their full name overlay and your choice of embelishment for the name. The little bird pictured in this board is so popular right now!

May I suggest for boy's plaques: do not add the ribbon. Instead ask that I make the vinyl large enough to cover the board. The ribbon makes it very feminine.

Let me know if you are interested by leaving a comment or emailing me at vinyltalksbychristie@gmail.com!

This does have a saw-tooth hanger on the back.

Project Price: $12.00

Hello All!

I hope you are all having a GREAT summer! I just thought I would post some things I've been working on! I know, I'm a slacker! Here they are!

First of all:

CANDY JAR LABELS!
These labels are absolutely adorable! I was actually quite proud of myself! LOL! I made these for one of my loyal followers, Missy! They can be cut in any color of vinyl and are made to fit jars approximately 6.5" tall, but can be resized to fit your needs (at a different price...).

$1.50 per label

WEDDING TILES:

These are some tile choices I designed for a wedding my sister was attending. The first was a beautiful tile with a border that encompassed the family's last name and "forever" The est. date was their wedding day! It was absolutely beautiful!

Project Price: $10.00

This tile was another choice I made for the same wedding. It reads: "Across the years-I will walk with you in deep green forests and shores of sand, and when our time on earth is through, in Heaven, too, you will have my hand XOXO" I tear up just reading it! It is an absolute beauty not just for weddings but for anniversaries too!

Project Price: $10.00

And, finally:
A FREEBIE!

This (well...sorta) will be the freebie if you purchase $15 or more through July 10th. The only thing I need to say is this: The frame pictured is no longer sold at the store where I bought it. So, the frame will be a little different, but still beautiful and classy! I promise! Your monogram can be in BLACK, GOLD, or BURGUNDY. What are you waiting for? Make sure you don't miss out on this freebie worth $6.00!!!
